Alicia Koevoets is a Tap Dancer, Teacher and Performer based out of Vancouver, BC. She began training in all dance forms at the age of eight before realizing her passion for tap and perusing it more exclusively. Growing up she was a part of the performance group “TapCo” who toured across BC. In her career, she has trained and performed all over North America, learning from some of the world best tap masters. In 2012, Alicia spent 2 weeks training at the prestigious School at Jacobs Pillow in Massachusetts with Derick Grant, Dianne Walker and Brenda Bufalino. She was also invited to perform with the Chicago Human Rhythm Project in the first ever full length tap concert at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Recently, Alicia was honored to be a part of Lisa La Touche’s world premiere of “Hold On” at the Vancouver International Tap Festival. In addition, she teaches tap in the lower mainland and is working as a part of the performance group “Vancity Sound” who opened for R&B singer, Mya at Fortune Sound Club.
