Caitlin Griffin

Over the past decade, Caitlin has performed in ballet and contemporary productions across Canada and in China, Thailand and Israel. She has worked on stage with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and MOVE: the company, on screen with Sony Pictures’s Center Stage: Turn it Up, and in the 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies with Alberta Ballet and Ballet BC. She is also an active member of Margie Gillis’ Legacy Project, in which she continues to study under Canadian Dance icon, Margie Gillis. As an award winning choreographer, her work has been showcased in Toronto and across BC by The City of Vancouver, MovEnt (Dances for a Small Stage), 12 Minutes Max, The ROMP! Festival, The Dance 2 Danse Festival, MOVE: the company, and in partnership with the BC Children’s Hospital. Acting as head ballet choreographer for Team Canada West in 2014, Caitlin’s original choreography and skilled coaching helped bring home 4 gold and 1 silver medals at the international competition in Mikolajki, Poland. As a sought after guest teacher for youth, she is influenced by her extensive ballet background and her passion for community engagement through the arts.
