Dana Fry

ARAD RTS, AISTD Dip, Dip Dance Ed.

Dana is an energetic and knowledgeable dance specialist. Her background spans ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, flamenco, song and dance and vocal lessons. She completed her RAD Solo Seal Award at 20 years old and now holds her RAD and ISTD teachers diplomas.

With 18 years of training through classes, examinations, competitions/festivals and performances she remembers fondly a few of the more special events: 6 consecutive years at the BC Performing Arts Festivals for both Ballet and Stage sections, ‘Clara’ in the Eugene Ballet Nutcracker, ‘Louise’ in the Victoria Operatic Societies Carousel, receiving Honours on all ISTD Modern Theatre exams and moments of pure joy during her RAD Solo Seal Award performance.

Dana has dedicated 18 years of her life to the pursuit of inspiring technical and artistic dancers who bring the world of dance everywhere they go. Her students have excelled in examinations – including the prestigious RAD Solo Seal Award, are invited to competed annually at the BC Performing Arts Festival and have been accepted into international graduate programs of all kinds. Dana is always eager to guide young dancers towards their individual best. Recently Dana created the first Contemporary Ballet Company in Victoria, BC – Convergence. Through this avenue she is able to encourage and promote up and coming choreographers and dancers into the professional dance world. The vision for Convergence is to provide professional opportunities to BC artists.
