Kaiti “Dangerkat” Pasqualotto: Mother of the House of Dangerkat Dancing since the age of four, Kaiti “Dangerkat” Pasqualotto uses her comprehensive background to contribute to her radical style. Having studied abroad under pioneers such as Archie Burnett, House of Ninja, Caleaf Sellers, Marjory Smarth, Ejoe Wilson, Tyrone Proctor, Rock Steady Crew, Electric Boogaloos, Brian Green, among many others, her high powered movement contains elements of hip hop, house, voguing, waacking, funk styles, dancehall, west african, jazz, contemporary, tap and salsa. With a BFA in visual art and contemporary dance, Kaiti has since founded the House of Dangerkat, a performance company that fuses fashion, dance, music, film and photography while uniting international artists through collaboration. They have been featured in fashion weeks, dance festivals and musical performances in Canada, New York and Paris. So far, Kaiti and her House have danced for Diplo, Paul Devro, Boy 8 Bit, South Rakkas Crew and have been featured alongside Blaqstarr, Santogold, Kid Cudi, A-Trak, Fritz Helder and the Phantoms, Keys n Krates and Kardinal Offishall. In the fashion world, House of Dangerkat has been highlighted at Paris’ Self Service Magazine/Colette fashion week party, in Vogue’s style.com, London’s Let Them Eat Cake Magazine, Paris’ Spray Magazine, London’s papermag.com and New York Look Magazine. In the dance scene the House wowed audiences at Paris’ Juste Debout, NYC’s Dance4Peace and Calgary’s Juno Awards party, LIVEstyle Festival and High Performance Rodeo. In addition to her work as a progressive wearable artist and stylist, Kaiti directs the I Heart Urban Dance workshop series, runs Full House- Calgary’s first house/voguing/waacking class and shares her passion for dance with students nationally.
